Bordó francia maroquen kötés, széles, aranyozott keretszegéllyel. A táblák közepén aranyozott ovális, babérkoszorús medalion, liliomokkal és koronával: XIV. Lajos koronás címere. A hat borda közötti öt gerincpanelen is aranyozott koronás címer liliommal. A táblák belső szegélyein aranyozott virágos elemek, körül aranyozott lapélekkel. Kisebb kopásokkal. Pár levél enyhén foltos. Belső borítón részben eltávolított kézzel írott ex libris jelzés (1761-es keltezésű). Folio (38 x 27,5 cm).
A kötésben Tasso Torquato: Il Goffredo overo la Gierusalemme liberata di Torquato Tasso. [Paris, Imprimerie Royale, 1644]. [10] + 502 p. műve található. A leveleken 33 kezdő és záró rézmetszetes matricával és 21 vésett iniciáléval. A metszett címlap nélkül, az impresszumból (kolofonból) kivágott rész a hátsó belső kötéstáblára van ragasztva. A rézmetszetű képtáblák nélkül. Pompás Tasso-kiadás.

Burgundy French morocco binding, wide, gilt frame border, oval, laurel wreath medallion in the center, with lilies and crown: gilt, crowned coat of arms of Louis XIV. The five spine panels between the six bands also have gilt crowned coat of arms with lilies. Gilt floral elements on the inner edges of the boards. Minor wear. A few leaves are slightly stained. On the inner cover, a handwritten ex libris mark (dated 1761) has been partially removed. Folio (38 x 27,5 cm).
The binding contains Torquato Tasso’s work: Il Goffredo overo la Gierusalemme liberata di Torquato Tasso [Paris, Imprimerie Royale, 1644], [10] + 502 pp. The leaves are decorated with 33 engraved head- and tailpieces and 21 engraved initials. Lacking the engraved title page, a cutout from the impressum (colophon) is mounted on the rear inner cover. Lacking the copperplates. A splendid edition of Tasso.
