A magyar történeti irodalom egyik kiemelkedő alkotása, az első nagyszabású történelmi forrásgyűjtemény harmadik kötete horvát-szlavón-dalmát krónikákat tartalmaz. A munkát nagyméretű, dekoratív térképek ékesítik. Az osztrák történész szerző Bél Mátyás tanítványa volt. Utóbbi nevéhez fűződik az előszó, és nyilván segített a kötet összeállításában is. A III. kötetben további öt, az Adriai-tenger, a mai Horvátország, Szerbia, Dalmácia, Albánia és Koszovó, valamint az olasz partok egy részének résztérképeit tartalmazza (lásd kínálatunkban).
A térkép eredetileg [Reusch, E.]: Alter und Neuer Staat des Königreichs Dalmatien (Nürnberg, 1718. Peter Konrad Monath) című műben jelent meg. Az illusztráció Dalmácia Királyságának, Szerb Királyságának, Stefan Prvovenčani (Szerbia elsőként megkoronázott királya), Horvát Királyságának, Raška Királyságának, Boszniai Királyságának, Szerb Despotdumának, Stjepana Vukčića hercegnek, valamint a Balš és Črnojević családok, Hum hercegeinek címereit tartalmazza. A térkép súlyos földrajzilag téves információkat tartalmaz, különösen a határok körvonalait és a közigazgatási-területi szervezettséget illetően. Így például a „Ducatus Lezinae Confinia” is látható, amely valódi hercegségként soha nem létezett. A Szlavónia területén található megyék középkori körvonalaikban ábrázolva is nagyrészt el vannak torzítva. A térkép címe a bal alsó sarkában található, amelyet a következő városok térképei vesznek körül: Senj, Šibenik, Split, Budva, Korčula, Kotor, Ulcinj, Bar, Dubrovnik, Hvar, Trogir és Zadar. Monath több alatta kiadót munkában felhasználta ezt a térképet így pl. Ivan Lučić: Gründliche Beschreibung des Königreichs Dalmatien (Nürnberg,1723. Peter Konrad Monath) című útikönyvében is.

One of the outstanding works of Hungarian historical literature, this third volume of the first large-scale collection of historical sources contains Croatian–Slavonian–Dalmatian chronicles. The work is embellished with large, decorative maps. The Austrian historian author was a student of Matthias Bel, to whom the preface is attributed, and who likely also assisted in the compilation of the volume. Volume III further includes five additional sectional maps depicting the Adriatic Sea, present-day Croatia, Serbia, Dalmatia, Albania and Kosovo, as well as parts of the Italian coastline (see in our listings).
The map originally appeared in Alter und Neuer Staat des Königreichs Dalmatien ([Reusch, E.], Nuremberg, 1718, published by Peter Konrad Monath). The illustration contains the coats of arms of the Kingdom of Dalmatia, the Kingdom of Serbia, Stefan Prvovenčani (the first crowned king of Serbia), the Kingdom of Croatia, the Kingdom of Raška, the Kingdom of Bosnia, the Serbian Despotate, Duke Stjepan Vukčić, as well as the noble families of Balša and Crnojević, and the rulers of Hum.
The map contains significant geographical inaccuracies, particularly regarding border delineations and administrative-territorial organization. For example, the “Ducatus Lezinae Confinia” is shown, although such a duchy never actually existed. The counties of Slavonia are also largely distorted, even when depicted in their medieval outlines. The map title appears in the lower left corner, surrounded by plans of the following cities: Senj, Šibenik, Split, Budva, Korčula, Kotor, Ulcinj, Bar, Dubrovnik, Hvar, Trogir, and Zadar. Monath later reused this map in several works issued under his name, for example in Gründliche Beschreibung des Königreichs Dalmatien by Ivan Lučić (Nuremberg, 1723).
