The German translation of the pre-Baconian scientifical work written by Giambattista della Porta. It was originally published in 1558 in Latin, many times republished not only in Latin, but in Italian, French and Dutch translation as well over the 16–17th centuries. Present copy, accompanied with full-page illustrations. attests its popularity well into the 18th century.
