Második kiadása Hégészippusz művének, amely az egyházi eseményekről szól a Biblia kezdetétől egészen körülbelül Kr. u. 150-ig. Művei a Biblia mellett a fő források közé tartoznak az ókori Palesztina történetének és régiségének tanulmányozásában. Hégészippusz, illetve az úgynevezett pszeudo-Hégészippusz valódi személyazonossága ismeretlen. Second edition of Hegesippus’ work dealing with ecclesiastical events from the beginning of the Bible up to around AD 150. His writings, alongside the Bible, are among the principal sources for the history and antiquity of ancient Palestine. The true identity of Hegesippus, or the so-called Pseudo-Hegesippus, remains unknown. Over time, numerous hypotheses have been proposed regarding the author’s identity; the most recent theories tend to agree in attributing the work to the young St. Ambrose, according to the Bibliothecae Rheno-Trajectinae.

Modern, fine full-leather binding, with the spine sewn on four raised bands, boards decorated with blind tooling, and new endpapers. The last few leaves are slightly stained; otherwise a clean and well-preserved copy.
