Zichy Ödön elfogása 1848. szeptember 29-én. Görgey Artúr 1848-ban hazaárulás vádjával, Jellasiccsal való szövetkezésért és gyanús iratok birtoklásáért Lórévnél felakasztatta Zichy Ödön grófot. A nagy port kavaró ítéletet egy rögtönítélő haditörvényszék hozta meg, miután a gróf kocsiját ellenséges proklamációkkal a fedélzetén feltartóztatták.

A cím jelezve 4 nyelven (német, magyar, olasz, cseh) a kép körül, az alkotó, Vinzenz Katzler (1823–1882) osztrák festő, grafikus, jelezve balra lent. A metszet Ziegler, Anton: Vaterländische Bilder-Chronik aus der Geschichte des österreichischen Kaiserstaates : von seinen ältesten Bewohnern bis auf die gegenwärtige Zeit / nach den besten Hilfsquellen bearb. u. d mit Original-Handzeichnungen ausgestattet von -- (Wien, 1850. Benko) 4. kötete 2. részének 37. képe. A második rész az 1848–1849-es magyarországi események leírását tartalmazza, 28 városképpel (Buda, Pest, Pozsony, Prága, Bécs, Belgrád, Triest, Graz, Innsbruck stb.), valamint 56 történelmi életképpel és csataképpel illusztrálva.

The arrest of Ödön Zichy on September 29, 1848. In 1848, Artúr Görgey had Count Ödön Zichy hanged at Lórév for treason after the Count was caught with Jelačić's illegal proclamations and suspicious documents. The controversial execution was ordered by a summary court-martial, which found the Count guilty of conspiring with the enemies of the homeland.
The title is provided in four languages (German, Hungarian, Italian, and Czech) along the four sides of the image. The print is plate number 37 from the second part of Anton Ziegler’s Vaterländische Bilder-Chronik aus der Geschichte des österreichischen Kaiserstaates (Patriotic Pictorial Chronicle from the History of the Austrian Imperial State), published by Benko in Vienna, 1850. This second part contains a description of the 1848–1849 events in Hungary, illustrated with 28 cityscapes (including Buda, Buda and Pest, Bratislava, Prague, Vienna, Belgrade, Trieste, Graz, Innsbruck, etc.), as well as 56 historical genre scenes and battle paintings.
