A szerző nádasi Nádosy Sándor (1800-82) cs. kir. kamarás, nyugalmazott tábornok, aki 1848-ban a hadügyminisztériumban mint ezredes az államtitkári teendőket végezte. 1849. jan. Windischgrätz herceghez pártolt. Ezután festészettel és hírlapírással foglalkozott, mígnem a tüzérségbe lépett és e közben a király tetszését is megnyerte, s az osztrák tartományok méneséhez felügyelőnek neveztetett ki, a Lipótrend lovagkeresztjének a tulajdonosa volt.

The author was Sándor Nádosy (1800-82) of Nádasi, a retired general, who in 1848 performed the duties of a state secretary as a colonel in the Ministry of War. In January 1849, he sided with Prince Windischgrätz. He then worked as a painter and newspaper writer, until he joined the artillery, and in the process won the king's favor and was appointed inspector of the stud farms of the Austrian provinces, and was the owner of the Knight's Cross of the Lipótrend.
