A Boszporusz ritka térképe, amely a Konstantinápoly (a mai Isztambul, görögül: Κωνσταντινούπολις, latinul: Constantinopolis és Byzantium, törökül: Konsztantinije és İstanbul, szláv nyelveken Carigrad) környéki régióra összpontosít. Tengeri szörnyekkel díszített kartussal.

A térkép rendkívül részletes, eredeti körvonalas színezéssel. David Mortier Atlas Antiquus című művében is megjelent, amely szintén Nicolas Sanson munkája alapján készült.

A hátlapon a középső hajtás mentén megerősítve. Kis szakadás a felső margón, a térképet nem érinti. Szakadás a térképen az Aranyszarv déli partja mentén (törökül: Altın Boynuz vagy Haliç; ógörögül: Χρυσόκερας, Chrysókeras; latinul: Sinus Ceratinus), illetve a szoros felé vezető északi parton (verson hátul megerősítve).

A rare and striking map of the Strait of Bosphorus, focusing on the region surrounding Constantinople (today's Istanbul). It features an ornate cartouche adorned with sea monsters and other decorative elements. The map is highly detailed and presented with original outline colouring.

Reinforced along the fold in the middle on verso. Small tear at the top margin, map not affected. Tear in map along the southern bank of the Golden Horn (Turkish: Altın Boynuz or Haliç; Ancient Greek: Χρυσόκερας, Chrysókeras; Latin: Sinus Ceratinus), and on the north bank towards the strait (reinforced on the verso).
