A térkép bal alsó részén található a cím, a méretarány és három különböző mérföldjelző. A szimbólumok és színek magyarázata a térkép jobb szélén, a középpont közelében található. Az illusztráció alatt, balra a „Red. v. A. Gräf”, középen a „Weimar: Földrajzi Intézet”, jobbra pedig a „Metszette: W. Kratz, Terrain: F. Kern” felirat olvasható. A térképen rácsháló is szerepel.
A térkép egy nagyobb, 70 lapból álló sorozat része, amelynek címe „A Föld és az ég kézi atlasza”, amelyet H. Kiepert szerkesztett, és részben Carl és Adolf Gräf dolgozott át. The title, scale, and three different mile markers are located at the bottom left of the map. An explanation of the symbols and colors is provided along the right edge of the map, near the center. Below the illustration, on the left, is the note "Red. v. A. Gräf", in the center the text "Weimar: Geographical Institute", and on the right "Engraved by W. Kratz, Terrain by F. Kern". The map also features a grid.
This map is part of a larger series consisting of 70 sheets, titled the 'Hand Atlas of the Earth and the Sky', edited by H. Kiepert and partially revised by Carl and Adolf Gräf. It is likely from the 42nd edition, published between 1856 and 1869, though the exact year of publication is rarely indicated. Sheets 8–30, 43, 45, and 48–54 from this series have been preserved.
Excellent condition, reinforced along the fold on the verso. Kiepert, who led the Institute for several years, was a professor of geography at the University of Berlin and a specialist in ancient historical cartography. While he had a particular focus on Asia Minor, he also created a significant number of maps covering other regions for educational purposes.
