A német középkor történetére vonatkozó, először 1583-ban megjelent, Johann Pistorius von Nidda (1546-1608) német orvos, történész és katolikus teológus által szerkesztett fontos forrásgyűjtemény második kiadása. A harmadik, mértékadó és jelentősen bővített kiadás csak 1726-ban jelent meg.
A jelen kiadás tartalmazza: I. Magnum chronicon Belgicum. II. Wippo: De vita Chunradi Salici Imperatoris, II. Konrád német császár életrajza. III. Germanicarum antiquitatum thesaurus, germán régiségek „Traditionum Fuldensium”. IV. Sigismundis Religiosus: Augustanum chronicon ecclesiasticum. V. Jacobus Manlius: Chronicon Episcopatus Constantiensis. VI. Chronicon Episcoporum Mindensium.
A második fejezet írója Wippo de Conradi, vagy Burgundiai Wipo (más néven Wippo vagy Wigbert (995 körül – 1050) pap, költő és krónikás. II. Konrád német-római császár káplánja volt, és valószínűleg a fia.

Modern pergamenkötésben a gerincen címfelirattal. Számos fametszetű iniciáléval. Fametszetes címlapján apró lyuk, Miguel Boix Carreras (holokauszt túlélő) beragasztott szecessziós ex librisével (a verson is található egy kisebb méretű). A szedéstükrök erősen barnultak. Ezektől eltekintve nagyon jó állapotú, megbecsült mű.

The second edition of an important collection of sources on the history of the German Middle Ages, first published in 1583 and edited by the German physician, historian, and Catholic theologian Johann Pistorius von Nidda (1546-1608). A third, more substantial and significantly expanded edition was not published until 1726.
The present edition includes. I. Magnum chronicon Belgicum; II. Wippo: De vita Chunradi Salici Imperatoris, a biography of the German Emperor Conrad II.; III. Germanicarum antiquitatum thesaurus, Germanic antiquities "Traditionum Fuldensium"; IV. Sigismundis Religiosus: Augustanum chronicon ecclesiasticum; V. Jacobus Manlius: Chronicon Episcopatus Constantiensis; VI. Chronicon Episcoporum Mindensium.
The author of the second chapter is Wippo de Conradi, or Wipo of Burgundy (also known as Wippo or Wigbert (c. 995 - 1050)), priest, poet, and chronicler. He was chaplain to the German-Roman emperor Conrad II, and was probably his son.
In modern vellum binding with title inscription on spine. Woodcut title-page with small hole, also with ex libris of Miguel Boix Carreras. Binding covers heavily tanned. Apart from these, an appreciated work in very good condition.
