A címlappal együtt összesen 58 különálló tábla található, komplett.
A címképen I. Lipót allegorikus ábrázolása, akinek a művet ajánlották. A metszeteket készítették: Franciscus van der Steen, Mathias van Somer, Johann Sigmund Schott, Nicolas de Hoey, Nikolaus Hautt.
Különleges gyűjtemény, a bécsi udvari könyvtár kéziratai és kódexei alapján, amelyet a dicsőséges I. Lipót német-római császár parancsára és oltalma alatt készítettek. A művet nemcsak pazar időrendi és betűrendes tárgymutatók, hanem függelék is kíséri. A mű előzménye Peter Lambeck (1628-80) polihisztor a Bécsi Udvari Könyvtár gyűjteményéből 8 kötetet állított össze, ami először 1665 és 1679 között jelent meg, és eredetileg 25 könyvből állt volna. Commentariorum de augustissima Bibliotheca Caesarea Vindobonensi...Tételünk e mű kiegészítése Daniel Nessertől (1644-99) aki a Könyvtár őreként folytatta elődje munkáját.
Korabeli öt bordára fűzött egész bőrkötésben, dúsan aranyozott gerinccel és címkével. A gerinc alsó és felső sarka pótolt, a táblák borítása repedezett, Körül festett lapszélekkel, tiszta levelekkel, erős levonatokkal. Jó tartású, ritka mű, gazdag illusztrációs anyaggal.

A special collection, based on the manuscripts and codices of the viennese Imperial Court Library, which was made by order and under the patronage of the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I. The work is accompanied not only by lavish chronological and alphabetical indexes, but also by an appendix. The work was prefaced by the polymath Peter Lambeck (1628-80), who compiled 8 volumes from the collection of the Imperial Court Library, which were first published between 1665 and 1679 and originally consisted of 25 books. Contemporary full leather binding, with five raised bands, and richly gilded spine and label. The lower and upper corners of the spine are replaced, the boards are cracked, with painted edges, clean leaves, strong extracts. A rare work in good condition, with rich illustrative material.
