A templomos lovagrend (1119–1314) jól dokumentált történetének második kiadása, amelyet Nicolaus Gürtler (1654 – 1711), más néven Guertlerus vagy Gurtlerus, korának egyik legkiválóbb protestáns teológusa és teológia-, retorika- és történelemprofesszora írt 1691-ben. Gürtler elismert teológusként számos rangos egyetemen oktatott; először Hanau-ban lett teológiai professzor (1688-1696), majd Brémában (1696-1699), később Deventerben (1699-1707), végül pedig haláláig Franekerben (1707-1711). Mintegy 30 írást hagyott hátra az utókorra. 

Korabeli, bordázott, díszesen aranyozott gerincű egészbőr kötésben. A gerincen apróbb sérülések, felül kis hiány. A címlapon rézmetszettel. Nagyon szép, tiszta példány.

Second edition of this well-documented history of the Order of the Templars (1119-1314), written in 1691 by Nicolaus Gürtler, also known as Guertlerus or Gurtlerus, a renowned Protestant theologian, scholar, and professor of theology, rhetoric, and history at Hanau (1688-1696), Bremen (1696-1699), Deventer (1699-1707), and Franeker (1707-1711). Includes an index of authors cited and subject index.

Contemporary full leather binding with raised bands and richly decorated gilt to spine. With minor damage and small loss to spine. Engraving on title page. Title page printed in red and black. Inside beautiful, clean copy.
