A map depicting the Arabian Peninsula and portions of Africa, extending from the Nile Delta in the north to the Horn of Africa in the south and westward to Persia. It encompasses the modern-day territories of Ethiopia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
First published in 1780, in Guillaume Raynal's 'Atlas de Toutes les Parties'.
Rigobert Bonne (1727–1795) was among the most prominent cartographers of the late 18th century. In 1773, he succeeded Jacques Bellin as Royal Cartographer of France in the office of the Hydrographer at the Dépôt de la Marine.
