Memories of the pilgrimage to Jerusalem, with tonal lithographs by the German painter and illustrator (1790-1866), made on the spot. The unique art album shows the famous sites of the Holy Land, the landmarks of Jerusalem, the biblical sites and events, while also capturing the city's citizens. The numbered pages have a short explanatory text in German.

Rambaux studied with Jacques-Louis David in Paris and was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1815, where he studied with Konrad Eberhard. He worked in Rome, Italy, for more than ten years. In 1843 he became curator of the Wallraf Collection in Cologne. The artist was Trier's first honorary citizen and has an art award named after him.

A rare complete work with 280 fine stone engravings in fine condition. Not found at auction.

A jeruzsálemi zarándokút emlékei, a nazarénus német festő, illusztrátor (1790–1866) tónusos litográfiáival, amelyeket a helyszínen készített. A különleges művészeti album bemutatja a Szentföld ismert helyeit, Jeruzsálem látványosságait, a bibliai helyszíneket és eseményeket, és közben a város polgárait is megörökíti. A számozott lapokon rövid német nyelvű magyarázó szöveggel. A művész Trier első díszpolgára volt, akiről művészeti díjat is elneveztek. Ramboux litográfiái igen ritkák és keresettek: egy korai, 1822-es litográfiája a Christies-nél 62 000 dolláért talált gazdára. Korabeli, gerincén dúsan aranyozott vaknyomásos félbőr-kötésben, kisebb kopással. A négy rész egybekötve német nyelven, két francia és két német nyelvű, különálló címlappal. Lapméret 30×23, képméret 21×14 cm. 280 szép állapotú kőnyomattal. A komplett mű rendkívül ritka.
