Két félgömbre metszett térkép, határszínezéssel. A domborzat sraffírozással jelölve. A kisebb kiegészítő félgömbtérképek az északi és a déli féltekét ábrázolják.

Kiepert, aki több éven át vezette az intézetet, a berlini egyetem földrajzprofesszora és az ókori történelmi térképészet szakértője volt. Bár különös hangsúlyt fektetett Kis-Ázsiára, oktatási céllal jelentős számú, más régiókat lefedő térképet is készített.

Jó állapotban, alul a hajtás mentén kis szakadás. A verson a hajtás mentén megerősítve.

A double hemisphere engraved map with outline hand colouring. Relief is depicted using hachures. Smaller ancillary hemispheric maps display the northern and southern hemispheres.

Kiepert, who led the Institute for several years, was a professor of geography at the University of Berlin and a specialist in ancient historical cartography. While he had a particular focus on Asia Minor, he also created a significant number of maps covering other regions for educational purposes.
