A francia származású orvos, Belsazar Hacquet (c. 1739–1815) a hétéves háború idején az osztrák hadseregben volt sebész, majd az Osztrák Birodalom nagy részét bejárta gyalogszerrel. Számos fontos geológiai, petrográfiai, paleontológiai, botanikai és etnológiai megfigyelést végzett. 32 szövegközti színes táblával.

A doctor of French origin, Belsazar Hacquet (c. 1739–1815) was a surgeon during the Seven Years' War in the Austrian army before walking through much of the Austrian Empire. He made many important geological, petrographic, paleontological, botanical and ethnological observations. With 32 colored plates.
