Hermann Friedrich Teichmeyer (1685-1746) német orvos és botanikus Hannoversch Mündenben született. Albrecht von Haller (1708-1777), modern kísérleti fiziológia megalapítója volt apósa. Teichmeyer a jénai egyetem kísérleti fizika, orvostudomány és botanika professzora volt. Az igazságügyi orvostudomány úttörője volt. Teichmeyer 1717-ben avatták a kísérleti fizika teljes jogú professzoráva, disszertációja ugyanebben az évben publikálta Elementa philosophiae naturalis experimentalis címen. Jelen példány a második kiadás.

Hermann Friedrich Teichmeyer (1685-1746) was a German physician and botanist born in Hannoversch Münden. He was father-in-law to Albrecht von Haller (1708–1777). Teichmeyer was a professor of experimental physics, medicine and botany at the University of Jena. He was a pioneer of forensic medicine. Teichmeyer had a full professorship for experimental physics in 1717, his thesis was published in the same year as Elementa philosophiae naturalis experimentalis. Our copy is the second edition.
