A boksz meccset ábrázoló metszet az Annals of Sporting and Fancy Gazette 1822 augusztusi, nyolcadik számának borítóján jelent meg. (II. kötet, 8. szám.). Alkotója Isaac Robert Cruikshank (1789–1856), karikaturista, illusztrátor és portréminiatűrista. Az Annales of Sporting and Fancy Gazette havi megjelenésű londoni sportmagazin volt, 1822 januárjától 1828 júniusáig, Jonathan Badcock szerkesztésében. Valójában két magazin volt egyben: az Annals of Sporting és a Fancy Gazette, melyet szinte teljes egészében a boksznak szenteltek.

The engraving depicting a boxing match appeared on the cover of the eighth issue of the Annals of Sporting and Fancy Gazette in August 1822. (Volume II, n. 8). Th engarver was Isaac Robert Cruikshank (1789–1856), caricaturist, illustrator, and portrait miniaturist. The Annals of Sporting and Fancy Gazette was a monthly London sports magazine published from January 1822 to June 1828, edited by Jonathan Badcock. It was actually two magazines in one: the Annals of Sporting and the Fancy Gazette, which was devoted almost entirely to boxing.
