Párizs, 1634.Provence és Liguria partvidékének elegáns, rézmetszetű térképe, Saint-Tropez és La Spezia között, Korzika északi részével. Készítője Christophe Tassin (aki Nicolas Tassin néven is ismert), 1631-ig királyi mérnök-geográfusként (Ingenieur et Geographe du Roy) dolgozott, majd Párizsban telepedett le, ahol metszőként számos regionális térképet készített. Ez az ábrázolás a „Carte générale de toutes les costes de France” című atlasz részeként jelent meg 1634-ben. Kartusát Nizza címerállatával, a sassal díszítette, a Ligur-tengerre pedig számos hajót, egy nagy méretű szélrózsát, valamint egy tengeri szörnyeteget helyezett illusztrációként. Példányunk hátlapirat nélküli, önálló lapként vagy kompozit-atlasz részeként forgalmazott, korai levonat.
Mérete: 370 x 515 (420 x 540) mm.
Enyhén megsötétedett példány, a jobb felső sarokban a térképmezőt is érintő, alul és bal oldalt a margóra korlátozódó vízfolttal.

By Christophe Tassin (also known as Nicolas Tassin), who worked as a royal engineer-geographer (Ingenieur et Geographe du Roy) until 1631, before settling in Paris, where he produced numerous regional maps as an engraver. This depiction was published as part of the atlas Carte générale de toutes les costes de France in 1634.
He adorned the cartouche with the heraldic animal of Nice, the eagle, and illustrated the Ligurian Sea with numerous ships, a large compass rose, and a sea monster.
Our copy is an early impression without text on the verso (blank-backed), marketed as a separate sheet or for inclusion in composite atlases.
Size: 370 x 515 (420 x 540) mm.
Condition: A lightly darkened example, with a water stain in the upper right corner affecting the map area, and further water staining at the bottom and left confined to the margins.
