A Magdeburgi Centuriák német kiadása, amelyek először 1559-től latin nyelven jelentek meg Bázelben. A jelen példányból hiányzik az 1. rész és a 4. rész, utóbbit a VD 16 külön, E 240 alatt tartja nyilván. A mű a reformáció szemszögéből írt első átfogó egyháztörténeti kísérletnek tekinthető. Két, vörössel és feketével nyomott címlappal.
Vaknyomásos disznóbőr kötés fadúcokra húzva, kézírásos gerinccímmel, az egyik rézcsat hiányzik. A kötéstáblák kopottasak, foltosak, az alsó rész néhány elszórt szújárattal. Összességében enyhén barnult, a Kirchen historia elején a címlap kissé ujjfoltos, egyébként néhány levél enyhén vagy kissé erősebben foltos (foxing) illetve barnult.

The German edition of the Magdeburg Centuries, which first appeared in Latin from 1559 onward in Basel. The present copy lacks Part 1 and Part 4, the latter listed separately in VD 16 under E 240. Considered the first attempt at a comprehensive church history written from the perspective of the Reformation. With two title leaves printed in red and black.
Blind-tooled pigskin binding over wooden boards, with manuscript spine title; one of the two brass clasps is missing. Boards rubbed and stained, with a few scattered wormholes in the lower part. Overall lightly browned; the title-page at the beginning of the Kirchen historia is slightly finger-soiled; otherwise, a few leaves are lightly or somewhat more heavily foxed or browned.
