A térkép Giovanni Antonio Magini munkásságán alapul, azonban geopolitikai pontosabb képet nyújt; a Magini-féle prototípustól eltérően itt láthatóak a különböző területek ("Trentino", "Vicentino", "Veronese" ...) határai, Mirandola kiemelkedik Modenától, és észrevehető a Forte di Fuentes helynév hozzáadása a Comói-tótól északra.
A térkép Henricus Hondius Atlas Novus, sive Descriptio Geographica Totius Orbis Terrarum... című, 1636-ban Amszterdamban kiadott művéből származik.
A térkép második kiadása abban különbözik, hogy jobb alul egy kartusba (díszkeretbe) helyezett, Guglielmo Borelio-nak szóló dedikációt tartalmaz.
Verso üres. Jó állapotú, tiszta példány, a verson a hajtás mentén megerősítve, pár helyütt javítva. Ritka.

In fact, unlike the Maginian prototype, here the borders of the various territories ("Trentino," "Vicentino," "Veronese," etc.) are added, the Mirandola area is distinguished from Modena, and the addition of the toponym for the Forte di Fuentes (Fortress of Fuentes) north of Lake Como is noted.
It is taken from the work Atlas Novus, sive Descriptio Geographica Totius Orbis Terrarum… by Henricus Hondius, published in Amsterdam in 1636.
A second edition of this map differs by the inclusion, in the lower right, of a cartouche with a dedication to Guglielmo Borelio.
Verso blank. A clean copy in good condition, reinforced along the fold on the verso, with a few places mended. Rare.
