A reformkori Pest nevezetes épületei I-VI.

"Az 1840-es évektől jelennek meg a nagylátószögű veduták mellett Budapest kisebb egységeit, egyes épületeit reprodukáló ábrázolások [...]. Josef Kuwasseg (1802-1877) osztrák festő , aki az előző korszakban néhány kőrajzú vedutával már szerepelt, 1842-ben Grimm Vincénél hatlapos sorozatot jelentet meg, amelynek rajzairól Martens öt, Hürlimann pedig egy aquatintát készített." A lapok egyenként is, a hat darab egyben azonban páratlanul ritka!

1. Pest. Das Redouten Gebäude – A városi táncterem épülete a Dunasoron.
   Dunasor a Vigadó és görög templom között a hajóhídfővel, észak felől.

2. Pest. Ausladungs Platz – Rakpiac. 
   Rakpiac észak felől az Ullmann-palotától délre, háttérben a Gellérthegy.

3. Pest. Invaliden Palais – Az invalidusok palotája.
   Főhomlokzat dél felől, balra a háttérben Szervita templom, előtérben felvonuló katonaság.

4. Pest. Das Seminar – Papnövelde utcai központi Szeminárium
   Papnövelde - (Eötvös Lóránd utca kelet felől, háttérben az angolkisasszonyok (Sz. Mihály-) temploma, mögötte Gellérthegy.

5. Pest. Ungarisches Theater – Pesti Magyar Színház
   Északkeleti saroknézet a tervezett plasztikai díszítéssel, háttérben a Hatvani (Kossuth Lajos) utca déli oldala a Ferenciek teréig. (A színház a mai Rákóczi út 1-3. sz. telken állott 1837- 1914. -ig.)

6. Pest. Franziskaner Platz – Kis papok laka.
   Az Alcantarai Sz. Péter-ferences templom homlokzatrészlete és a templom déli oldalához csatlakozó régi egyetemi könyvtár, jobbra „Nereida”-kút.

"From the 1840s onwards, depictions began to appear alongside wide-angle vedutas that reproduced smaller parts of Budapest or individual buildings [...]. Josef Kuwasseg (1802–1877), an Austrian painter who had already featured in the previous period with a few lithographed vedutas, published a six-sheet series with Vince Grimm in 1842. Martens created five aquatints from the drawings, and Hürlimann made one." (Seenger Ervin: Pest-budai látképek a tizenkilencedik századból.)

The individual sheets are already rare, but all the six together are exceptionally scarce!

   The Dock Market seen from the north, south of the Ullmann Palace, with Gellért Hill in the background.
3. Pest. Invaliden Palais – The Invalids’ Palace
   Main façade viewed from the south, with the Servite Church in the background on the left and marching soldiers in the foreground.
4. Pest. Das Seminar – Central Seminary on Papnövelde Street
   Papnövelde (today Eötvös Loránd Street) seen from the east, with the Church of the English Ladies (St. Michael’s Church) in the background and Gellért Hill behind it.

5. Pest. Ungarisches Theater – Hungarian Theatre of Pest
   Northeast corner view with planned sculptural decorations, background shows the southern side of Hatvani Street (now Kossuth Lajos Street) up to Ferenciek Square.
   (The theatre stood at today's Rákóczi Road 1–3 between 1837 and 1914.)
6. Pest. Franziskaner Platz – Residence of the Young Clerics
   Partial façade of the Church of St. Peter of Alcantara (Franciscan Church) and the old university library adjoining the south side of the church, with the "Nereid Fountain" on the right.
