A Redoute-ot, azaz a Pesti Vigadót ábrázoló metszet Hunfalvy János- Rohbock, Ludwig: Magyarország és Erdély eredeti képekben című háromkötetes munkájában jelent meg. A mű két szakaszban, füzetenként jelent meg Darmstadtban 1856 és 1864 között G. G. Lange kiadásában. Az első szakasz Magyarországról szól: első kötete 1856-ban, a második 1860-ban látott napvilágot. Hunfalvy az első kötetben írja le Budapestet, huszonhét acélmetszettel illusztrálva. E szöveg 1859-ben Budapest és környéke címen önálló kötetként is megjelent a pesti Lauffer és Stolp kiadónál, de még a darmstadti Lange-cég nyomdájában. A metszetek nagy része megegyezik az eredetivel, de hiányzik a Vigadó, az Akadémia és a Zsinagóga képe, mivel ezek ekkor még nem készültek el. Az acélmetszetek rajzait Rohbock készítette; a hiányzó épületeket Hermann Lüders rajzai, illetve fényképek alapján pótolták. (Seenger Ervin: Pest-budai látképek a tizenkilencedik századból)

The engraving depicting the Pesti Vigadó, called the Redoute, was published in the monumental three-volume work Magyarország és Erdély eredeti képekben (Hungary and Transylvania in Original Pictures) by János Hunfalvy and Ludwig Rohbock — regarded as one of the major achievements of 19th-century illustrated Hungarian topographical literature. The work appeared in installments between 1856 and 1864 in Darmstadt, depicting 19th-century Hungary through more than 200 steel engravings. The first volume, in which Hunfalvy describes Budapest, illustrated with twenty-seven steel engravings, was published separately in 1859 under the title Budapest és környéke (Budapest and its Surroundings) by Lauffer and Stolp in Pest, still printed by the Darmstadt firm of Lange. Most of the engravings are identical to those in the original edition, but some - like the Vigadó- are missing, as these buildings were not yet completed at the time. The steel engravings were drawn by Ludwig Rohbock; the missing buildings were later added based on Hermann Lüders’s drawings and photographs.
